Street Food Kaalan is a very famous dish in tamilnadu. This dish is also called as Kalan Masala. This Kaalan masala can be found anywhere in Coimbatore also around the surrounding of Coimbatore. We use mushroom, which we say Kaalan in Tamil and cabbage. In the street food shop, they add less quantity of mushrooms and more of cabbage. Here we add both in equal quantity, mix with few masala powder and deep fry. The next step is to saute with onion red chili water and mix with this mushroom cabbage fry. At the final stage, we add a few fresh grated carrot, onions and coriander leaves. This Street Food Kaalan masala is served as evening snacks in the roadsides shop!

💨Ingredients:
l1/4 cup Mushroom
l1 cup Cabbage
l1 Onion(chopped)
l2 tsp Red chili powder
l1 tsp Garam masala
l1/2 tsp Soya Sauce
l1/4 tsp Tomato sauce
l1/4 cup Carrot(grated)
l1 tsp Salt
l2 cup Water
l1 cup Oil(for deep fry)
l1 tsp Coriander leaves
l1 tbsp maida
l1 tsp corn flour
💨Method:
1. Chop mushroom and keep aside
2. Now chop cabbage and mix all masala powder, maida, corn flour and soya sauce and tomato sauce
3. Mix same masala with mushroom and keep aside
4. Deep fry the cabbage mixture and allow to cool
5. Deep fry the mushroom like same and keep aside
6. In same pan drain oil and add 1 tsp oil hot oil and saute onion
7. Now add all spices powder here too and saute well
8. Now add 2 cups water and bring to boil
9. Now add both mushroom and cabbage fry mix well and smash well with spatula
10. Cook till the water drains and stir one to two times in the mean time
11. Now Mushroom Kalan Masala is ready to serve.😋😋
