Stuffed Masala Idly (Steam
Rice Cake)
Stuffed
masala idly prepared with a potato masala! It is easy to make and also tastes
super scrumptious!
💨Ingredients:
· 1 Cup Semolina
· 1 Cup Curd
· 1 tbs Enno
· ½ tbs Salt
· 3 Potatoes
· 1 Onion
· ¼ tbs Turmeric Powder
· ½ tbs Asafoetida
· ½ tbs Cumin Seeds
· ½ tbs Mustard Seed
· 4 Green Chilies
· Coriander
· Oil
💨Method:
1. In a bowl add 1 cup of semolina, 1
cup of curd, ½ tbs salt. Mix it well and rest for 30 minutes. Heat a pan add 2
tbs oil, ½ tbs mustard seeds, ½ tbs asafoetida, ¼ tbs turmeric powder, 1 chopped
onion, 3 boiled potatoes, ½ tbs salt and ½ cup of water. Cook it properly and
garnish it with coriander.
2. Now in a batter add ½ cup of water,
rest for 15 minutes. After that add 1 tbs enno into it.
3. Apply some oil on an idly plate, pour
some idly batter on each mold and place a stuffing over it. Cover up the
stuffing with some more idly batter. Likewise, fill all the molds on the idly
stand.
4. Keep water for boiling, when the
water starts simmering, place the idly stand inside the vessel. Cover the vessel
well and now steam the idly for 20 minutes on medium flame.
Make pieces of it, Serve with chutney and
sambar!😋😋
